Philippe was born in France, at a young age he began his career working in the hotel business with his parents in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. He managed several clubs, camps and hotels in Paris and Corsica. Several years later, Philippe moved to Africa to direct the operations of exclusive hunting reserves and hotels in Chad and Cameroon. In the early 70's, he joins the team most exclusive diving and higher competitiveness, COMEX, Brazil.
For 10 years, along with the renowned researcher and archeologist Robert Stenuit, Philippe safeguarded shipwrecks and worked on oil rigs. He also built and managed a restaurant called "La Tortue Verte" in Buzios. 23 years ago, having spent enough time in Brazil, he sailed to Panama where he opened two well-known restaurants in the city "Casco Viejo" and "The Vaults". Expert diver and avid fisherman discovered the beautiful Pacific coast of the province of Los Santos and they decided to make their home. Having sold his restaurants, he founded a company called Pacific Boat del Este, SA, specializing in development and land management, reforestation and tourism.
He bought 1,000 hectares (2,470 acres) in 8 kilometers (5 miles) of Pacific coast near Pedasi. Over the years, Philippe planted about 250,000 trees of Teak, Nim and African mahogany, tropical trees, carefully planted gardens with flowers, fruit, and a variety of palm trees. The most recent achievement of Philippe is an exclusive tropical getaway called Posada de Los Destiladeros located 10 km from the town of Pedasi, which offers its guests complete privacy and outstanding meals. Philippe speaks French, Spanish and Portuguese.
